Hyk Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hyk mobile app and related services ("Hyk"), operated by Euler Ltd ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using Hyk, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Hyk.

Where you buy a subscription through the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies.

2. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Hyk. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

• You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.

• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account.

• You may not create an account for someone else, impersonate anyone, or create a new account after we have removed yours.

3. Community rules: zero tolerance

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Hyk. We remove content that breaks these rules and may suspend or permanently remove the accounts responsible, without notice.

You must not post, share or send anything that:

• is hateful, harassing, bullying, threatening or discriminatory

• is sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexualises minors in any way

• promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism or illegal activity

• is false or misleading in a way that could cause harm, including dangerous financial, medical or legal claims

• infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights

• is spam, a scam, or impersonates another person or organisation

• contains malware or tries to interfere with Hyk or other users' accounts

You must not use Hyk to contact, target or harass other users after they have blocked you.

4. Reporting, blocking and moderation

• Report: you can report any post, comment or user from within the app. Reported posts are hidden from you straight away.

• Block: you can block any user. You will no longer see their content, and they cannot interact with you.

• Review: we review reports within 24 hours. Content that receives multiple reports may be hidden automatically while we review it.

• Action: if content breaks these Terms, we remove it and may suspend or remove the account that posted it. Our decisions on moderation are final, but you can contact us if you believe we made a mistake.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post on Hyk, including posts, videos, audio, articles, courses, files and comments ("Your Content").

By posting Your Content, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, stream and distribute it within Hyk, so we can run the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where others have already downloaded it or we must keep it by law.

You confirm that you own Your Content or have permission to share it, and that it follows these Terms.

Content that other users post belongs to them. You may not copy, redistribute or resell it outside Hyk without their permission.

6. Hykers (creators)

If you publish content or offer memberships on Hyk as a Hyker:

• You are responsible for the accuracy and quality of what you teach. Hyk content is for education only and is not professional financial, legal, medical or other advice.

• You must deliver the benefits you describe in your subscription plans.

• To receive earnings, you must connect a Stripe account and follow Stripe's terms. Earnings are paid out after we receive payment from Apple, less Apple's commission and our platform fee.

• You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings.

• If you delete a plan or your account, active subscribers stop being charged for renewal. Posts and courses from a deleted plan may become public or be removed.

7. Subscriptions and payments

• Paid memberships on iOS are sold through Apple In-App Purchase and charged to your Apple ID.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the price and interval shown, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting your Hyk account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

• A membership gives you access to that Hyker's gated content while it is active. If a Hyker removes a plan or leaves Hyk, the content may change or be removed.

• Free memberships can be cancelled in the app at any time.

8. Ending your account

• You can delete your account at any time in Settings. This permanently deletes your profile and content and cannot be undone. We may keep limited records where the law requires it, such as payment and tax records.

• We may suspend or remove your account, or remove any content, if you break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect Hyk and its users.

9. Legal

Disclaimer. Hyk is provided "as is". Content is created by Hykers, not by us, and we do not guarantee its accuracy. Nothing on Hyk is professional advice.

Liability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content posted by users. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes. We may update these Terms. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Hyk means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
